Game Overview

The game is good but not great. The jump scares are decent, but the monsters aren’t really scary themselves. I find the very short time the oil lamp lasts per bottle of oil to be quite annoying, and I’ve found myself lost in pitch black darkness with no oil far too many times in a short period of time. And the fact you have to take a pill every 10 minutes or die is also quite annoying, especially since they are also quite scarce.

A game like this is okay to play once, mainly for the scares, but the fact that in order to beat it, you pretty much have to start over from the beginning at least once when you’re probably near the end (because you ran out of oil and/or pills) makes the game lose a lot of its intrigue. It becomes tedious trying to remember where things are, and the quickest route through places so dark you can’t see without your lamp. Get Artificial Extinction PC Game.
