Game Overview

This game is everything I could ever want from a video game. The rich persona story and formula is met with a very good adaptation of the action style combat system akin to something of warriors games/new Final Fantasy games. While this is a sequel to Persona 5 from what I’ve played so far there is some prior knowledge needed about that game to enjoy this one, fortunately if you’ve never played P5 it shouldn’t be a huge issue. Shockingly there haven’t been any insanely big P5 spoilers yet, and I don’t expect there to be.

The combat difficulty can be a bit hit or miss. It’s always fun to blow through these massive groups of enemies with your big persona skills, but the boss fights can drag a bit – as all of them are effectively giant damage sponges. This is rooted in the combat’s lack of impact. You don’t really FEEL like you’re hitting most enemies or taking damage, you just kinda see it reflected on-screen.
