Game Overview

This is an excellent simulation. They’ve come up with a nice way to simulate cue-action (although it’s a bit involved, lot of clicking and fiddling to do a single shot, but it allows for great control), they have a wonderful queuing aid that may be the best I’ve seen yet in any game of this kind (it helps very well with simple shots, but shots that are the kind that most players would never take on are murderously tough and the aid gives very little assistance on those,) and it all just “feels” very good. I’ve played a lot of snooker in my life, and this is as close to an actual table as I’ve seen yet.

The simulation feels good, balls go the way you expect them to go. One slight exception is that I feel it’s just a tad too float right now, things travel a bit further than you’d expect them to, especially a bounce off the cushion seems to incur no friction whatsoever. (Though to be fair, on modern tables that often seems to be the case anyway.) I wouldn’t mind them increasing the drag of the cloth by 5 or 10% or so. It can be pretty tough to keep your shot under control, you really have to crank your power down in situations where you wouldn’t really expect to have to. Get LEGO The Incredibles PC Game.
