Game Overview

Bernard, one of the optional characters in the original game, has returned to the Edison mansion with some new friends as Purple Tentacle is mutated by toxic waste into a super villain bent on conquering the world. In this, the Tentacle is successful, enslaving humanity for centuries to come. Dr. Fred, the villain in the previous game, is now free from his mind control and is just a crazy, senile mad scientist. In order to stop the reign of the Tentacle, Fred reveals he has been working on a time machine. Made out of port-a-potties, of course.

The game play is based around solving puzzles by using items and commands in unusual ways, and sending items back and forth in time. Sometimes the item you need to solve a puzzle is in another time period, so you have to try stuff out. For anyone familiar with these kinds of games, this is expected, if this is your first point-and-click adventure, I am sure it could feel tedious. They can be straightforward, such as “put the videotape in the VCR” or outright insane. Again, the game uses weird cartoon logic. If it would fit in a Bugs Bunny cartoon, it’s possible in this game.
