Outside of the displays of power, you also have to gather resources and attract followers. You also have to keep your heroes strong in their faith in you. Everything is about opportunity cost. Once you get the mechanics, it’s fairly straight forward. The last element of the game is understanding how the heroes stat up. When they’ve engaged in enough battles, heroes can perform a miracle in your name and be forever changed by the experience.
