There is strong potential with a medieval mercenary gang management sim, there is very little of this on the market, however the weak combat, limited combat experiences and open world events and trading make this in its current state a complete bore. The game is spent avoiding combats you know you cant win to try and find the meager interactions that will net you minimal cash so you can try and grow your band to get something done. To little avail. Mount and Blade at least had scope with working for lords and aligning with a faction, this is non-existent in this game.
I understand that this is currently in EA but dont advertise a game with said features if they cant deliver. Im enraged because of how much i wanted this game to be good. Maybe with added content it’ll pull it back, but they’ve got a long way to go for that to happen. If you want a mercenary sim, do not play this, get Battle Brothers. Get Block of Rum PC Game.
