Game Overview

The way this game broaches sensitive subjects, like learning disabilities and journey to self-identity, is really well done. Some of these things can be scary for teens to confront on their own so it’s really important that more and more of it shows up in the media. Games are a terrific way to do that seeing as how they’re interactive and feel more personal. I also think this is the first time I found Shakespeare to be romantic and heart racing something that never happened when I read it in high school.

The art is simple yet serviceable. It’s a bit unsettling that the character’s facial expressions and body on the sprite is completely stiff while their face is emoting in the corner with each new dialogue. A character would be upset and I wouldn’t know it if I only looked at their sprite because it would be grinning from ear to ear while their bust shot at the bottom left corner looks like they’re about to cry.
