Game Overview

Pretty solid little squad tactics game. It definitely feels a little unpolished and low budget in some areas – e.g. the way music tracks end and repeat instead of cleanly looping, or the big difficulty spike between tier 1 and tier 2 missions – but it gets the important parts right. You have a lot of options and variety for your builds and team comps, and there’s a really impressive variety of weapons and equipment and status effects and mechanics for how little overlap there is between them all.

I do think some of the systems are a *little* bit shallow. All mechs have the same base stats (hull, heat recovery, movement) regardless of type or variant. The mech upgrade paths almost completely mirror items: for example, one of your mechs might have an upgrade that grants +40% crit chance. . .but you can also just equip an item that gives 40% crit chance, or you can take both and stack them.
