This game is basically a card drawing adventure game with tactical combat layer and limited but decent and solid content. You start each run by selecting your heroes for party and dwell through the various locations by flipping adventure cards. The successful completion of the dice roll challenges strongly rely on different attributes and luck, so picking a balanced party and stacking on additional dice rolls during the play is always a best way to play this game. While RNG in combat is manageable, events, on the other hand, are punishingly RNG with very little luck mitigation as the time of the review. It can happen that you have series of bad rolls resulting in too much health lost with devastating effects on your run. Some events even remove one of your heroes temporarily which is almost an auto loss vs tough fights. I truly wish there were more ways to mitigate bad rolls. Some cool mechanics such as shared potions, infinite max health and flanking rules. Aside from the random and punishing nature of die based events, the core gameplay principles are on strong foundations. The combat is fun.
