Noelle Does her Best is an enjoyable game once you get past the protagonist’s… questionable character design. It puts you in the shoes of the titular character who left her town to leave alone and ended up scammed and saddled with a huge debt due to her naivety. While it looks like a “do quests to progress the story” kind of game at first glance, it includes many mechanics that make it better than the average. For starters, doing jobs increases your Job Level and Lewdness stats, which unlock new jobs, and your fatigue, which makes you skip to the next day if it reaches 100. Moreover, some quests require you to kill some monsters in a basic action RPG-like segment where running out of HP increases your fatigue, and nothing pretty happens to the character if it goes over 100.
