The Great C is perfectly showing that VR not only works great for games but also for movies. As you would expect for a movie there is no interaction. You just sit down and enjoy the very interesting story without any distractions. If you need a break you can pause the movie at any time with the menu button. With a little bit over 30 minute of playtime you could easily watch the complete movie in one run. There is also the possibility to start at specific section of the movie so you could easily watch certain parts again without starting the movie from the beginning again. The Great C is a clear recommendation!
This is not a game, and it’s not quite a movie. I’d say the best description is “Puppet Show.” For a puppet show, it’s very impressive. A simple, tight script, some great tableau’s, and competent camera and direction combined with decent voice acting, and you’ve got a great little vignette. I respect that this pushes the idea of storytelling using VR, using the immersion without the compulsion to make it interactive, like a game.
