Been playing this for years now and it just keeps getting better with every update. New cards and even overhauls to mechanics happen when they need to – taking a break for a few months and coming back is exciting. Its made by a smaller team and has a great amount of polish – all of the glitches from earlier days are gone. Every character truly feels different to play and even has completely different speech. Players are either friendly with the chat tree (which has enough options to be satisfying and useful) or are simply quiet, and any methods of “trolling” that used to exist have been ironed out.
A point of warning is that you will need to buy “packs” of extra characters if you want them. The base set of 8 are really good – some of the best in the game actually – but if you want all the options available to you then that is basically required. The price for these packs seems steep but each character adds a decent level of depth to how you play the game – if you ever find yourself getting tired of the same characters buying one of these packs immediately rejuvenates the entire game. Its also decently RNG heavy, which is only an issue for some.
