Yet another elephant in the room is the low resolution art thing that happened in Sophie, basically it seems that port was some frankenstein of the Vita version with PS4 models, leading to horrible 2D art. Which these games use heavily. As far as I’ve seen the art is high resolution, probably in part to the weaker version of these games being the switch which is higher res than the vita. This leads me into the other problem with this port, the models are jaggy and the shadows are jaggier, probably because of this being a KT port, and it’ll probably never be fixed, and I have my doubts about modders touching these games, as the only KT port that has gotten any love I know of is Nioh.
The third elephant is the price, these are a decade old games that are available on the PS3 and Vita for considerably less. I would say that these ports have features like higher resolutions and frame rates that warrant a buy on PC, but honestly the games don’t benefit from those to a significant degree and knowing KT, there’s probably some crashes that are way beyond the 2 hour trial time. All I can say is that these games are great and these being based on the Plus Version means no buying DLC and it’s the cheapest on PC, for now with the launch discount and unlike the vita versions the frame rate is stable and can be cranked.
