Game Overview

Atomine is an interesting game. You control a little box that magically spits out lasers or rockets or blobs of explosive goo, while dodging in and out of enemies and projectiles like a standard twin-stick shooter, while choosing from small upgrades and finding unlocks along the way. It has a great aesthetic, it uses mostly monochromatic colours and looks very clean and futuristic. The game play is simple and fast, but the main issue by far is the camera. You will constantly have no clue what you are about to literally just run into because the camera only shows a few angles well, and the others have close to zero visibility at all.

A really stylish twin sticks shooter with rogue-lite elements and different playable characters with different play styles kinda like Nuclear Throne. The visual and audio in this game is superb. There is an awesome hacker style to it that I’m really digging. Really great grab for $10. Get it if you really like a real challenging game but never feels cheap. It’s frantic and fun.
