Game Overview
The reality is that this is a needlessly difficult game, not just because of the ridiculously stupid QWOP movement mechanics but because of the arbitrary oxygen meter and insane amount of enemies from the beginning. Even worse, the Switch version had an auto-walk feature. This one doesn’t. It’s understandable why they took out auto-movement, maybe, because a lot of times precise movement is needed, but it should still have been an option that could be toggled on and off. I played the demo on my laptop with the touch pad and so I had assumed the chunkiness and difficulty in actually hitting things was due to the touch pad.
The walker isn’t hard to control but is very lacking in precision I didn’t use any of the auto walking features or use any of the walker’s alternative modes at all through my entire play through. I didn’t even need to, the game is only difficult at the start if you rush the story missions. I literally only failed in the areas that required the precision that the walker doesn’t have.
