Game Overview
This is a really good game. I personally wouldn’t say it’s better than Gorn as of today, however, it probably/ potentially will be very soon as long as this game gets more content updates. Before I get into that, let me talk about the game. This is an arena brawler with the best attempt yet at realistic physics in melee and ranged combat. It also has magic. I think the lightning spell is kind of OP right now, but more about that later. This is purely single player and as far as I know there is no road map for MP or PvP, although I think this game would be a great fit for MP coop. Enemy AI could use a lot of work. First of all, they seem a little too scripted as they do the same few moves.
They seem to block a little too much, especially enemies with two weapons versus trying to side step you and flank you. I honestly don’t think you can block a spear that effectively with two small weapons. And in combat, you and the enemies seem to move too slowly to be able to flank effectively. I equipped a lightning magic spell on my left hand and a cutlass sword on my right and I was a God among men. I would just use my spell, that would stun the enemy and then just hack away. Rinse and repeat all over the battlefield. It was fun, but also broken. The bow & arrow also feels great, but you basically only have 1 or 2 shots at the most before enemies can close range.
