Game Overview

This game is a rogue like but it plays and feels very different from any traditional rogue like. Original sci-fi setting, unusual but rewarding game play mechanics. You don’t fight enemies for the sake of fighting unless you just want to enjoy the gun sounds and explosions from unstable machinery in your current area. There are no permanent classes. Your bot is defined by the parts it currently has equipped. You “level up” not by grinding kills but by literally going up a floor which gives you the chance to add slots for more parts. Want to switch from a heavily armored combat bot on treads to a fragile but super fast flight bot with a full set of hacking utilities? You can do it at any time as long as you can find or fabricate the parts.

There is an emphasis on ranged combat, with a whole set of modifiers that may affect your accuracy. Guns sound bad ass and have fun effects, like causing an enemy robot to fall apart from electromagnetic corruption or overheat until it can’t do anything. Not to say that melee isn’t viable, because it totally is if you build for it. The amount of details like statistics on items can seem overwhelming at first. You don’t really need to worry about all the numbers, focus on parts’ ratings at first as that will give you a general idea of how good one part is compared to another.
