Game Overview

The game play is still the same but it looks better, the model and terrain updates are beautiful and fit exactly with the higher res artwork that existed, while staying true to the originals. The FMVs are a bit of a mixed bag. The actors look better than ever, all of the 3D animation looks improved, but the flat 2D artwork/overlays on a lot of the videos is still of very low quality. Given that the original sources are lost though, it’s likely they simply couldn’t do better though, so I’ll forgive it.

The music is where these remasters really stand out. This is the best TD and RA ever sounded, and the new tracks by Frank Klepacki and his band are a wonderful addition.
