Duskers pits you as the last survivor in a dead universe, and using your drones you scour derelict ships and try to salvage other drones and scrap to continue to survive and go further out in space. It’s an incredible premise because all of your control is done by remotely piloting a drone or by using the command line; it’s fantastic and you feel like you’re sitting in the comfort of your ship, looking at your monitor and using your keyboard to do all the work because you technically are. There’s a great puzzle element, pop on the Motion and scan adjacent rooms to see if they’re safe, operate doors and try to lure anything that might be in dangerous or “unknown” rooms to see if anything will come out. Getting through a ship by herding around aliens and cleaning everything up feels so rewarding when done right. The drones are somewhat useless when it comes to defending themselves unless you have specific gear and they die waaay too easily. They also have some of the worst path finding ever and almost refuse to get out of each others way so you’ll have to manually move them around a lot, especially in long hallways that barely even fit drones 2 wide.
