Game Overview
Developer is VERY active in discord, live streams his work multiple times a week, updates the game multiple times a week, has gone on ride-along with the FDNY. He’s going for realism here, and I’m no firefighter, but the game is far better on the realism front than anything I’ve played. Seems like his road map is to completely finish firefighting, then completely finish EMS, then completely finish NYPD. FDNY is certainly playable, although I reset everything in between calls because it can get messy with the hoses and stuff. All stuff that is fixable.
In terms of what you can do in the game at this point: there’s somewhere between 5-20 calls that range from a fire alarm being triggered to vehicle fires to full high rise fires. You can spawn any number of fire engines, ambulances, etc. and bring them to the call with you (there’s a real time strategy window that you can tell the AI to drive the vehicles wherever you want). Once you arrive on scene, hop out of the truck, break windows or cut holes in the roof for ventilation, hook up your hoses, and start spraying. There IS multiplayer, I haven’t tried it yet, but that means you can have multiple firefighters working together on a fire. Get The Jackbox Party Pack 4 PC Game.
