Game Overview

This game simulates more of the technical aspects of sailing than any game I have tried so far. For example, you can manually adjust the backstay trim, as well as travelers for the sheets. I would say the anchoring mechanics are well thought out, as well. To become a better sailor in the game, you study real-world materials. I always think that’s the mark of a good sim. For the price, there is simply no simulator out there as technically great. Get Maxi Pool Masters VR PC Game. Complete with characters at each port, side quests, maybe a little romance. Think Sid’s Pirates+Stardew Valley+Euro Truck.

The downside is that only one boat is modeled, with just one jib and one mainsail. The territory in which you sail on is fictional world, with a few main island groups about 5 hrs sail away from each other. Since it is a fictional world, though, the creator has made these islands a virtual sailing playground: there are deep harbors, shoals, shipwrecks, shallow bays for anchoring, volcanoes, marshes, a Venice-like city, and more. This may sound obsurd in a sim like this, but hear me out. I would love to take on the role of a struggling charter company and have the challenge of giving a great trip to paying passengers.
