After getting use to the UI and weapons, the spells and weapons available let you feel good about split-second decision making when fighting tons of enemies at once. The attacks/spells are similar to DotA in a way — they each have a fairly specific utility though they aren’t extremely flashy. The levels are really colorful — sometimes in a very over-the-top way, but they are generally pleasant to be apart of.

Overall, the game starts out slow as they spoon-feed you the mechanics then picks up around the very end of Chapter 1 and Chapters 3/4 when the level mechanics change dramatically and the complexity of balancing this with combat becomes a tough task.
