Game Overview
A surprisingly fun and deep turn-based RPG. Me and a friend picked it up on a whim without really expecting much from it, not really intending to run over the two hour refund cut-off, but it sucked us in for four hours all the same, and we still figured we’d come back for another shot at it at some point after we lost and found out we’d need to start over. Coming from a pair of people who generally don’t enjoy losing after that amount of time and effort invested, that’s high praise. You might prefer to give it a pass if randomness as a core mechanic is a major sticking point for you, though I never personally found the RNG to be too intrusive.
A bit boring if playing alone, but with friends, this game is a lot of fun. The last PC board game I played was Armello, that one is fun too. But instead of PvP, this is PvE. You travel around the map with your companions complete missions, going into dungeons, gains power up and more! The game has quite a punishing difficulty as well if you’re not careful, especially in the hardest difficulty. If you want an adventure board game that can be played co-op with friends, go with For The King. Get PUBG .
