After the tutorial the game does a pretty good job of easing you into it. The first floors are basic and make sure you understand the core game play before involving more complex things. Meta Progression. I’m not against it in general, but it feels really tacked on to this game and if anything makes the experience worse. You can will unlock stronger weapons by clearing higher floors. And you can use those weapons to just crush lower floors if you choose to go back to them for achievements. Makes clearing those achievements a lot less meaningful. At the very least, the meta progression is not grindy in this game. You will always have enough gold to get everything as you unlock them.
