Game Overview
This is a turn based rogue-like from the makers of DoomRL (which I never played). The game has much better graphics and more streamlined game play, at the cost of some minor player choices. The biggest issue right now is that you can’t unload weapons on the ground, but to compensate the devs made the ammo drops more generous. There’s also no diagonal movement which is fine with me. What initially drew me to even consider buying it in early access is the dev’s clear middle finger to the Epic Game Store, which you can hear in the trailer. Epic has been bribing Kick starter devs left and right to betray their customers for a paycheck, and hearing a dev have some integrity made me want to support them and try out a game that looked interesting. I’m glad I did because it is fun. What has further cemented in my mind that I made a good decision is that the devs are extremely active on the forums answering questions and concerns.
