Game Overview

The presentation is top-notch, placing stones on the 3D board feels very satisfying, and one design doesn’t get too boring too fast due to different 3D boards and backgrounds. The music is relaxing. The campaign gives some purpose and a sense of progression to playing against bots. Before, on sites like OGS, I almost never played against bots and I still recommend playing against humands to improve, but the bots in this game feel very varied. So far, in the beginning of the campaign, most bots seemed too easy for me and the ranking didn’t seem to make much sense,

Though it might be because I chose the beginnner difficulty for the campaign, while my OGS ranking of 11k is very close to the single-digit-kyu range for which the game recommends the amateur diifficulty. The campaign doesn’t have anything like a captivating story, but for Go, I think this is not really needed.For me the gameplay itself and the process of improving are fun enough to keep me motivated playing.
