Game Overview
Mistover is a fun little game. It’s similar to Darkest Dungeon, but don’t let that fool you it’s not just a bland copy/paste anime re-skin. There’s a heavy top-down dungeon crawling mechanic, which adds another tactical layer to the game play. There’s 3 “lanes” instead of just one, also adding a bit of complexity in which skills and formation you want to adopt.
Which is not to say everything is an improvement over Darkest Dungeon. The music is far inferior, and less varied. There’s not enough voice lines, so you’ll hear your characters constantly repeating the same thing again and again. The UI & UX are a chore, equipping equipment / skills is so much harder and more tedious than in DD. Still, even with all these criticism I’m enjoying this game. It’s fun, it’s fairly hard, it scratches a similar itch to Darkest Dungeon. The only reason I bought it on Steam rather than Switch. Get Emberlight PC Game.
