Pretty great game, a few bugs here and there, but well worth the trouble. It’s very dynamic and has a lot of love and work put into it. Story is the best part, pretty sure it’s one of the best Lovecraft-inspired stories I’ve ever experienced. Really takes the eldritch horror to interesting places while still nailing the feeling of unknowable terror. The visuals are amazing as well, so much attention to detail and the color and weirdness. The style is totally unique and a real treat to watch unfold.
Game was a bit short, but with the unrelenting horror and struggle it felt a good length and I eagerly await the next chapter of the tale. I cannot recommend this game if you want to win every fight and save the day like a traditional RPG, failure is an inevitable and important part of the story. You’re going to have to flee from fights, suffer permanent drawbacks, do quests that turn out meaningless, and go insane. It’s all about survival and investigation, as it should be.
