Game Overview
This game has elements that does suck you in and keep you engaged. The puzzles can be very rewarding at points and in other cases punishing. The story feels a little shallow and will dump you into the game on little to go off of. I had legitimate jump scare moments and genuine moments of joy when solving puzzles. There was one puzzle that needs an English translation to figure out which seemed to have been accidentally overlooked and I used another play through video to overcome.
My next gripe is with the enemies, each enemy has a specific way they seem to attack you. One enemy uses quick time events, another chases you down, and there’s various puzzles that lead to instant death. So tackle the game expecting a lot of deaths as you grow to understand what will kill you. I normally enjoy mechanics such as this, but puzzles being extremely complicated and the inability to effectively outrun the specific chasing enemy makes it an exercise in frustration.
