Game Overview

Perceptions of the Dead 2 is more or less what I hope for it after playing the first game. It’s great aesthetically, unique in its storytelling. And climate and features very solid, full voice acting. It’s a breath of fresh air in the world of extremely iterative. And generic Western VNs which usually end up on Steam. With its memorable cast and an interesting take on the love craftian horror themes.

It’s also not without problems – how short and linear it is might be the most important one. The first story took me only 3 hours to 100% and the choices were mostly meaningless. With no alternative paths or endings beyond some very brief scenes. And one abrupt “game over” screen. The game was still quite engaging and enjoyable and the second story. Which will most likely show up in a few months. Should give us another few hours of quality content. Although I feel that the main story line the creators have in mind goes far beyond that.
