Receiver 2 has a lot of new content. But its all locked behind a ranking system, a ranking system that demotes you to the last held rank with every death which means that you’ll probably never get to see any of the new content. Not only is this mechanic completely stupid, but quitting out of the game busts you down a rank. You can’t even stop playing it with out being punished. Its super unrewarding knowing that a game built around a “try-die-try-die” loop just beats you into the ground for failure instead of letting you carry on.
And its not like ranking up is pointless, your rank controls what enemies you face and what guns you can get. So every time I die I am actively being locked out of the cool new content they added to this game. Did I mention it resets your rank when you quit too.
