Game Overview
This game is amazing. The genres mix together quite well. First game where i understood the mechanics was super close. I was sweating on the last wave as my troops were split in 2 and almost completely overwhelmed. I held by the skin of my teeth and with an “Easter egg” unit that was tough as nails. If you win or lose, you get items you can carry over into the next game. Extra staring units, abilities for your lord, or extra staring resources. Combat is a little weird to get used to and its hard to hit with thrusting attacks.
Waves spawn on opposite sides of the map even in the easiest mode and you dont have troops to defend both sides. Even in the easiest mode you can’t build up a town or even get to experience the game because the game pigeonholes the player into building only military units. Military units must be built ASAP because the starting units are incapable of killing the second wave of units alone even on the easiest mode and the second wave comes nearly before the player can build more military units even in the easiest mode because resource collection is so slow.
