Game Overview

One of the best things about it is the new fusion transformation system. These transformations work similarly to the pirate gear from Pirate’s Curse. Instead of having to stop and dance to transform, they automatically activate with a press of a button. This is by far the best transformation system the series has ever had and I hope they stick with it for the next game. Now that doesn’t mean the old dance menu system from Half-Genie Hero has gone away. While the game uses the same engine as Half-Genie Hero, the controls feel a lot tighter this time around. My only issue is that they removed the ability to get down to another platform by pressing down on the d-pad, which was a handy feature in the other games. The level-based structure from the last game is now gone and the interconnected world from the early games is back and it’s probably the best one in the series. The dungeons are back too and they’re good for the most part. The last two are a bit weak though but still, it’s nice to see them back. There are even multiple towns again which the series hasn’t had since the original GBC game.
