Game Overview

The visual style is pretty stunning and the devs manage to achieve so much with so “little” making great use of their designs. the game offers gorgeous vistas when you reach vantage points but still offers quite intricate detail up close for such a minimalist art. The level-design is connected in a way that it feels interesting and exploration is rewarded enough to keep you trying to search for stuff. the world is far more vertical than the usual souls-game. gameplay is similar to the established dark souls formula. added to that the game switches it up sometimes with sections of fixed camera angles that are more akin to a side scrolling plattformer.

Which is helped by the jumping and dashing. if you are courageous there actually a lot of things hidden for inquisitive minds. not as stunning as the visuals but still well done is the sound, as atmospheric music blends well with ambient sounds, weird noises and combat clatter. 8 even if the audio-sliders are set up in an odd fashion. but at least there is several separate sliders and not just one.
