With that said, I feel that some of the depth of the original Rampart is missing. The original Rampart made it so cannons could not fire until their previous shells landed – meaning cannons placed closer to the enemy fired more often, but required vulnerable positioning. In Sky Cannoneer, cannons have set cooldown times, so positioning only matters for how easily you can keep a wall built. Transports and the grunts they landed are also missing, which was a distraction from just blasting away at the opposing castle.
