Game Overview
Tasomachi is perhaps not what one would expect based on the trailers for the game. This is not a mystery or a puzzle game, this is a platformer and a low budget game where you explore to collect items and money in order to progress to new areas. The game’s artstyle is very beautiful and oozes atmosphere, and the soundtrack is calming and catchy. It’s a good game if you just want something simple to do and are in a relaxing kind of mood. One downside is that the jumping animation looks a bit rough and can make the platforming aspect feel a little bit floaty.
It’s still controls responsive enough I feel, though, it’s more the animations that needed work than anything. Overall I’ve enjoyed my time with the game so far and would like to see more from this developer in the future. Update: I noticed since the latest patch with the character you play as in game her landing animation is smoother now. It’s not perfect or Uncharted level of animation here, but it suffices for what platforming you do in game now I would say. After putting more hours in I’m still enjoying the game.
