Yes, there are quests. Like I said, this is not an open world, you have main missions. The side quests are just extra tasks on the way which basically boil down to helping people or hindering SKYNET. None of the side quests are particularly hard and all are marked on the map. There is a relationship, trust, friendship thing going on to encourage you to do this, but there’s no clear reward for doing so. People essentially say “Hey, if you’re going to be killing robots, you mind picking up some aspirin for some quick XP and friendship” and then you talk about how nice it was you did that later.
