Toki is a pure single player arcade game – but you can use it to show your kids how hard arcade platforms used to be when you were a kid! One hit and you loose a life, all lifes lost and you are back at the start. You don’t have to tell them that the real thing was far more difficult than this new version. As someone who played the Amiga conversion of this game, I felt immediately at home.
Toki is a plat former based on the 1989 arcade machine with completely redrawn graphics and modernized for today’s audience. You play a guy transformed into an ape by an evil wizard who also kidnapped your girl. Understandably quite unhappy with this situation, you use your acid spit to shoot the numerous minions and a few bosses while trying to reach the evil wizard to set things right again.
