It’s chaotic, and when the scrum of workers, cops, and occasionally mutants, get’s too crowded I found myself losing track of the worker I was controlling. That sort of emulates the nature of a mob, one could argue, so it kinda works in the games favor. Aiming can be a bit tricky when throwing bricks and molotov cocktails, but some practice did improve things a bit. You win more weapons and items as you progress through the levels, but things like the shield and soda cans didn’t seem to help much or have much impact. The chainsaw, on the other hand, is just hellafun to use.
There was a lot of hype for this, and damn, did this game meet it. Once you get the hang of it it’s really fun, and you sorta have a hard time stopping. It’s also cathartic as hell. Ripping up riot cops and ancaps with a chainsaw like it’s DOOM is one of the best gaming experiences I’ve gotten to enjoy. The physics of the crates and cars and things were also a nice added touch.
