Game Overview
The quicken are the main enemy of this game, and they can’t be defeated normally. You have to get close to deal any damage to them, otherwise normal rangs just bounce off. Note I said “normal rangs”, as this combat system is pretty quickly made useless by the new customization system. Two of any element stones will not only make it possible to kill quicken. But also possible to kill large enemies, both in one shot. Fortunately for game play’s sake, quicken are speedster into fire, ice, and air. Unfortunately for gasmen play’s sake, earth’s explosive damage is universal, and makes switching rangs redundant.
Fortunately this wasn’t what I expected and turned out rather fun. I expected flying to have up and down movement, but it’s entirely horizontal, which was a huge relief and made it fun. Oddly enough, these are the only missions with a limited number of lives, as where in every other mission you can die as many times as you want, in flying missions it’s game over after three.
