Game Overview

For some reason the developers have chosen to get rid of the original quake movement physics in favor of a boring, shallow blade jump mechanic. This really hurt my enjoyment of the game and I would very much like to see the original Quake movement physics restored in the future. Another issue I encountered was the extremely granular mouse sensitivity setting. There was nowhere near enough precision offered and so the closest I could get to my preferred sensitivity was either double or half. There isn’t even a numerical measurement or input, only a slider which you cannot drag and must click to move left and right by huge amounts.

Overall, the game was fairly enjoyable, but there is not $35 AUD worth of content on offer right now, although the devs have outlined their plan for adding more content to early access as the game approaches release which would make the purchase more justifiable. If you’re interested in this kind of game, it will probably be well worth playing on release, though I wouldn’t expect much at all from the multiplayer aspect, but that’s a topic for the future.
