Taisho x Alice episode 1 opens with the heroine suddenly finds herself in a world filled with darkness and without any prior memories. She meets another guy there who claims to have no memories as well besides his name “Alice” and then, he decides to name the heroine “Arisu”. Together, they go through the darkness until they happen to find a mirror to pass it and enter the Mirror Land. First of all, I really liked the heroine Arisu in Taisho x Alice episode 1. In every route, she is the first one who falls for the love interest and even tries to win his heart, which is pretty much the reverted role from most otome games. It’s soon noticeable that Arisu has her own mind and isn’t afraid to take initiative. I’d even say she is a strong female lead who isn’t afraid of either getting rejected or openly flirting with the guy she likes. I enjoyed the concept of the girl chasing after a guy who seems to not like her and despite everything she still refuses to give up but sticks to the guy until she finally manages to win his heart.
