Game Overview
What could use improvement. The story is very lacklustre. You’re supposed to be this stand-up citizen who’s wrongly accused of murdering your own father. You escape prison to go on a mega crime spree robbing and murdering people all for the ends of finding out who the true murderer is. No voice acting – not a deal breaker but it would have possibly help convince us of the narrative. On occasion I ran into minor stuttering issues despite being run on a 1080ti regardless of vsync settings. I could be getting 200fps but when you’re in a fast car you will likely see some micro stuttering.
The mechanics of the game are solid especially vehicle physics. The cars handle, slide, and body roll very realistically. The graphics and textures are good and it plays relatively smooth. The UI is easy to manner and the controls are simple yet effective. Changing weapons is easy and just a mouse scroll away. Gun play is equally matched with mouse cross hair and lines of fire. There are a lot of “hidden gems” in the game. Secret stashes you can stumble on – safes and even bunkers you can gain access to by finding codes / keys elsewhere in the game. I thought that was neat.
