Game Overview
Turn-based battles in the style of XCOM, but not in a science fiction scenario but in the early modern era of the 17th century? Not a very often chosen scenario for a computer game. However, Black Legend is a gritty turn-based tactical role-playing game, set in the 17th century in a world full of alchemy and religious fanatics. Not to mention a few monsters from the fairy tale realm. It takes place in Grant, a formerly wealthy seaside trading town now ruled by cultists and engulfed by a slowly spreading fog that drives anyone insane who has not ingested an antidote.
Fans of John Carpenter’s The Fog will love the story. We play a group of four mercenaries and enter the city. There we immediately encounter the resistance – apparently not the entire city is in the hands of the cultists after all. At the beginning of the game you create a character.
