Blasphemous is an absolutely gorgeous game so far – the art style, the character designs, world design, game play … everything is amazing and very enjoyable and addictive. The controls are good. Sometimes inputs could be executed a tiny bit faster, but it’s alright. You’ll also get use to the fact that you can’t spam dodge as there’s a cool down – fair design choice though. Unique setting and gorgeous art style inspired by Spanish folklore and medieval history including, but not limit to, Catholicism, the Spanish Inquisition, contemporary architecture, painting, legends, literature etc.

Yeah, it’s not exactly easy, though definitely not too hard lots of things are about the right timing and precise platforming. In other words, the longer you play, the more you get used to it and if you die you’ll know it wasn’t the games fault, but your own though now you know how to do better. The weighty controls need some getting used to. They’re not bad by any means, but can seem sticky during precision platforming and against a few enemies. That and attack/contact knock back.
