Game Overview

Cathedral is definitely an interesting game. It has beautiful visuals, an incredible sound track, an interesting world, and tight controls. The only major problem I had with the game, seems to be something most other people love, and that is with the difficulty. The game is long, there’s a big world to explore, and there is a lot of lore and interesting people to meet. The games visuals look great and are incredibly pleasing on the eye.

It’s clear the game is hitting the nail on the head with the retro-styled difficulty curve. While some of the challenge is incredibly well done and fair, there were other moments that I was sitting there annoyed and frustrated at a poorly placed trap that knocked me back down five minutes, or something else like an instant kill enemy that would always hit me when I jumped over spikes.
