Game Overview
The game’s biggest flaw definitely seems to be its story which gets in the way of the tutorial and, really, if I could just not deal with that, it would be great. don’t think expect a deep, compelling, vineyard-based narrative, but the story does a poor job of keeping a thin tutorial held together. What mostly want is the game to teach me how to play itself while also showing me the cost/benefits of engaging with certain mechanics.
As a “wine person”, I think it’s neat how much effort the game puts into certain details of wine growing. It’s a cool touch and I’m glad it’s there. Still, it feels like some of that came at the cost of explaining actual game mechanics and it leaves more guesswork than necessary which can be frustrating if you don’t pick up on what you’re missing really quickly.
